Balancing a 9 to 5 Job While Stepping Into Entrepreneurship
I was a classroom teacher and I worked two jobs for many years. The experiences that I gained when I was in a school setting, and health care settings inspired me to start this blog as a space where I share the real, unfiltered journey of pushing through fear and uncertainty. Over the years, fear often stood as a barrier, making it difficult to take the leap into something new. Whether it was trying to secure clients for coaching or landing speaking engagements, the hustle was relentless, and the road was anything but smooth.
While traversing the paths of uncertainties and anxiety, writing and journaling became my passions. And this blog became my outlet to document the ups and downs—the dreams that were once just ideas, the hard work that went into making them a reality, and the continuous push to keep moving forward. The grass wasn’t green from the start; it began with a dream that required nurturing, dedication, and perseverance.
I've realized that many Black women who balance a 9 to 5 job while stepping into entrepreneurship face similar struggles—scarcity, fear, detachment, attachment, and a profound sense of loneliness. But it doesn't have to be this way. Through sharing my stories, I hope to create a community where we can all find the support and inspiration we need to keep going and growing, knowing that we're not alone in this journey.
